Farnborough Volleyball Club

About FVC (Our sessions are outdoors June to end August)

Farnborough Volleyball Club (FVC) founded in 1997 by a group of friends at DERA who started to play casually and got rather good at it, and founded the club to involve more people.

Not surprisingly given our name, we’re based in Farnborough in Hampshire UK, and play indoors in Farnborough, September to May and outdoors in Aldershot from June to early September.

We cater for children from Y7 upward and adults, men and ladies, are quite an international bunch with players from all around the world. Whatever language you speak you are likely to find somebody to speak it with.

Our club’s emphasis is on improving our game, and competitive play, with teams in leagues and tournaments. We have 5 adult and 3 junior teams in the Berkshire Volleyball league and the Surrey Volleyball league.

Our general training is also suitable for people who already play a bit already and want to improve their game.

And we have an FVC Academy training for Y7 upwards, and suitable for adult beginners. We are always looking to expand what we offer, so if you don’t find it now, come back in a while.

We organise friendly matches and sessions where members can turn up and play.

In the Summer we play outdoors a couple of times a week. Members make up teams to compete in tournaments.

In August 2021, we ran our first outdoor tournament and are looking to build on this in future.
